Project Background
The customer manufactures equipment for tin powder production and required an ultrasonic atomization system that could be integrated into its metal powder processing equipment.
The project used a 50 kHz ultrasonic metal atomization unit together with a stainless steel chamber. The chamber provided an enclosed working space for equipment integration, atomization testing and powder collection.
Customer Requirements
The customer required a system that could:
- Operate at a frequency of 50 kHz
- Support the atomization of tin feedstock
- Integrate with the customer’s powder manufacturing equipment
- Include a stainless steel chamber
- Provide a practical configuration for process testing and future optimization
Equipment Configuration
The supplied configuration included:
- 50 kHz ultrasonic metal atomization system
- Ultrasonic generator and atomization components
- Stainless steel chamber
- Mechanical interfaces for integration with the customer’s equipment
The final operating conditions can be adjusted according to the tin feed method, material temperature, target powder characteristics and production requirements.
Project Outcome
The ultrasonic atomization unit and stainless steel chamber were configured for the customer’s tin powder equipment. The completed system provided a platform for tin atomization trials and further process development.
Powder particle size distribution, production capacity and operating parameters depend on the complete process configuration and should be confirmed through material testing.
